This official pairing scheme is designed for all educational boards in Punjab. It outlines the chapter‑wise distribution of multiple‑choice, short, and long questions for the 9th class Mathematics annual examination 2026.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
The MCQ section covers all chapters from the 9th grade Mathematics syllabus. Each chapter contributes a specific number of MCQs, ensuring complete syllabus coverage. All chapters from 1 to 15 are included in the MCQ portion.
Short Questions – Three Sets (Q.2, Q.3, Q.4)
Students must attempt any 6 short questions from each of the three question sets. The pairing scheme provides a clear chapter‑wise breakdown for each set, including the number of questions contributed by each chapter.
- Q. 2 – Chapters 1, 2, and 3. The distribution is as follows:
- Chapter 1 – 2 questions
- Chapter 2 – 3 questions
- Chapter 3 – 3 questions
- Q. 3 – Chapters 4, 5, and 6. The distribution is as follows:
- Chapter 4 – 2 questions
- Chapter 5 – 3 questions
- Chapter 6 – 3 questions
- Q. 4 – Chapters 7, 8, and 9. The distribution is as follows:
- Chapter 7 – 2 questions
- Chapter 8 – 3 questions
- Chapter 9 – 3 questions
Long Questions – Five Sets (Q.5 to Q.9)
The long questions are divided into two parts (a and b) for each question number. The chapter pairing is clearly defined in the scheme:
- Q. 5 – (a) Chapter 1, (b) Chapter 2
- Q. 6 – (a) Chapter 3, (b) Chapter 4
- Q. 7 – (a) Chapter 5, (b) Chapter 6
- Q. 8 – (a) Chapter 7 / 10, (b) Chapter 9
- Q. 9 – (a) Chapter 12, (b) Chapter 11 / 13
Important Exam Tips
